What is an process industry manufacturing?

Process Industry Manufacturing Technicians keep industries running.

You’ll operate and maintain large-scale chemical processes, ensuring products meet strict specifications.

Working in highly controlled environments, you’ll follow advanced safety systems, conduct quality checks, and collaborate with teams across production, engineering, and supply chain.
If you thrive in high-tech, high-stakes environments, this is your gateway to a dynamic career.

What will I learn?

This isn’t your average classroom. This is the frontline of industrial manufacturing.

You’ll dive into the science behind large-scale chemical processes—mastering atomic structure, bonding, and reaction principles that power global industries. Stoichiometry, energetics, and kinetics? You’ll break them down to control reaction behavior with precision.

But theory alone won’t cut it. You’ll apply these principles to real-world production, learning how to fine-tune processes, troubleshoot issues, and enforce safety protocols in high-stakes environments. With strict regulations and advanced control systems, you’ll develop the expertise to keep production running smoothly—and safely.

If you’re ready to take on the challenge, this apprenticeship will give you the knowledge and hands-on experience to thrive in the process industry.

Course Modules

Module 1
Health & Safety in a Processing Environment

This module covers essential workplace safety regulations, including the Health and Safety at Work Act. Apprentices will learn how to assess risks, follow safety protocols, and maintain compliance in a high-risk environment.

Module 2
Chemical Science
