Paul has overall responsibility for student services, compliance and quality teams, driving a culture of outrageously good services to our colleagues, customers and apprentices.
Paul is responsible for ensuring our business operations are robust and compliant with regulations; Learner and Customer journeys, GDPR, Cyber security, Ofsted, risk management, safer recruitment and funding rules.
Business success is reliant on good customer support, systems, processes and standard operational procedures, and operations is a vital cross team function that works in collaboration with key stakeholders from all areas of the business to support that success.
After a 15 year career in the military, ranging from radio operator to IT network manager and culminating in a two year posting as an IT Networking tutor, Paul joined the apprenticeship world in 2000 as an assessor, then internal verifier, IT programme manager, curriculum designer and accreditations officer, quality manager, Head of Quality and Compliance, Head of Operations and finally, Operations Director. Paul’s worked in a variety of training and education providers and has been fortunate to have been employed in most of the roles that contribute to the teaching, learning, assessment and quality function within the apprenticeship environment.
After leaving school aged 15 with few qualifications, Paul decided as his military career was coming to an end he needed to educate himself.
Since turning 30 he’s completed a teaching qualification, achieved many industry related awards and qualifications, and finally a Master’s Degree in Business in 2018 at the age of 48.
Lifelong learning is for everyone!
