Gemma’s background is predominately in cancer immunology. She completed a degree in Biochemistry at the University of Nottingham (2015-2018) and went on to a masters in Cancer Sciences at the University of Birmingham (2018-2019).
Following education Gemma went on to work in academia for a number of years on several projects researching novel methods of treating and diagnosing different cancers including breast and colon.
In early 2021 she moved into industry based role where I worked for a company that develops and manufactures test kits for diagnosing multiple myeloma and other blood disorders.
Gemma likes to spend her spare time in the outdoors where you can usually find her rock climbing or running. She’s also a big fan of live music and comedy.
