Learning Content Manager

Learning Content Manager

Dan is our new Learning Content Manager at Tiro. They have a background in Medical Laboratories with a spectrum of various roles before establishing themselves as a Biomedical Scientist. They spent 14 years in the Welsh NHS where they focused on raining, professional registration pathways, laboratory management and Standardisation to comply with ISO frameworks. They then gained experience as a Technical Assessor, Assessment Manager, and Commercial Training Manager at the UK’s national accreditation body, UKAS supporting customers across Healthcare including Medical Laboratories, Physiology and Imaging services.

Dan has a degree in Biology, a Master’s in Biomedical Science specialising in Immunohaematology, and a qualification in Learning design. Coupled with their experience across Healthcare, Haematology, Blood Transfusion, Haemostasis, Information Management, Quality Management and Training Facilitation they want to pass on their obsession through TIRO’s content to ultimately support apprenticeship and employers to have the best experience of the learning journey.

At heart, Dan is a proud science, knowledge and fact Nerd who believes in empowering others to take control of their own awareness and education. Conveying a passion for knowledge by exciting learners is key, if they leave with a frisson for information, a thirst for ‘more’, they will educate themselves.

Outside work, Dan enjoys science, nature, escapist literature, comics, spending time with their long-suffering partner and herding his two furry dependents Blackjack and Tenacious D (mainly off video calls). After all that and where there’s time, bashing metal into various shapes as part of their side hustle as a Blacksmith Artist.
