I am a Laboratory Technician at Balfour Beatty, my job is to carry out testing on materials used in major projects.
What were you doing before you started the apprenticeship?
Before I started at Balfour Beatty I was a carpenter with an independent company.
Who inspired you to start the apprenticeship?
A friends step dad that works for Balfour Beatty and told me about the job role and told me to apply for it.
What are your future plans?
I want to finish my apprenticeship and then see what happens after that.
What do you enjoy about the apprenticeship?
I really like the people I work with.
What advice would you give to other people thinking about starting an apprenticeship?
Go for it, throw yourself in it as much as possible.
