Tell us about you and your job role: 

I am a Materials Technician, I test materials that are used in the Thames Tideway project.

What were you doing before you started the apprenticeship? 

I was playing football and working part-time.

What inspired you to start the apprenticeship?

I saw that it was Balfour Beatty which I know is a good company. I knew I wanted to work in construction.

What are your aspirations for the future? 

I want to start as an apprentice and just keep climbing up the ladder.

What do you enjoy about your apprenticeship? 

Balfour Beatty looks after me. I feel have a good impact on the work being done as I test a lot of the material.

What do your friends and family think about the apprenticeship? 

They think I work for a good company and that I have taken on a lot more responsibility.

What advice would you give to other people thinking about starting an apprenticeship?
