Your role in this apprenticeship will be to support the technical support team, from our primary base in Woodingdean Business Park, Brighton with 1st/2nd line IT support and administration.
What it’s like working in this role

Working as part of a team you will join a fast-growing busy IT Company that provide technical support services to SMEs throughout the UK on IT and telecoms products and services. In this role, you will respond to phone calls and tickets covering the installations and maintenance of the company’s growing client base, as well as work on IT projects.

Throughout your apprenticeship you will have the opportunity to get stuck into various aspects the job to fully immerse yourself in what it means to be an Infrastructure Technician Apprentice. Duties include:

• Answering calls and logging tickets
• Managing low level tickets such as Full hard-drives, reboots required.
• Troubleshooting hardware and software issues using basic tools such as command prompt and PowerShell to maintain the safety of the companies networking infrastructure

We’re looking for someone who LOVES all things Technology.

Qualifications

• C or equivalent in GCSE Maths and English (however lower grades will be considered, so don’t be put off)

Skills and characteristics

We’re looking for someone who is driven and determined to get what they want. You’ll need to show you can be thorough, obsessive and have strong attention to detail and observational skills. You’ll have a naturally enquiring mind and be digitally savvy. We’re looking for someone whose fearless. You’ll be brave enough to be yourself, with enough self-confidence to speak to customers and come up with quick solutions to fix the problem in hand. To succeed in this apprenticeship, you’ll need bags of enthusiasm, be a fantastic collaborator and be hungry to learn!

Eligibility

Due to the nature of the apprenticeship funding you must meet this criteria: • Have lived in the UK for the past three consecutive years • Have the right to work in the UK

At Tiro we’re obsessed with changing lives through science and technology apprenticeships so we can’t wait to have you on board.

Over 18 months, you’ll devote 20% of your 37.5 hours of working time towards a Level 3 Information communication Technician apprenticeship. You’ll be trained by an expert tutor from Tiro as well as an experienced mentor at Carden IT, who together, will make sure you develop the knowledge, skills, and work habits you’ll need to succeed in your career.
